Re: YAML post comments

I started typing into the comments box of my previous post to answer readers’ questions to the best of my ability, but the form wouldn’t let me type beyond a certain length. So, here’s another post.

I have no idea how the final branding of each product/service will pan out. So, Office Live could be a project name  or a product name, and it could very well be offered through Windows Live.

I have managed to finagle nothing new about what “Zune plug-in” means from said source. My guess is that Zune Store will surface as an additional (virtual) library to WMP & WMC. Games Explorer is already capable of updating from a web service; the current MSN one will be supplanted by the new one. Zune looks like it will become the media-sales brand for Microsoft.

The following info comes from the same guy:

As for MSN, it is not going to be a “two-way” services brand anymore. It is being repositioned as a “entertainment” portal, simply enabling consumption. Live services on the other hand allow the end-user to publish & create content. MSN is also now grouped with Bing & Ad Services under MOS, unlike Windows Live.
Some more details (as per Mr. Information, as before, please regard with caution) :
—WL Photos service will host consumers’ videos (storage on livefilestore.com)
—Defender is going the way of the dodo. MSE will not be bundled, must be downloaded.
—Mobile: —Windows 7 shares a lot of technology, Silverlight is important.
—Live Connect will literally “plug in” to device’s native apps.
—Live Social initially targeted at WinMo, BB, S60.

Also, I (the blogger) found this in the file properties:  “909-1h” (I have no clue what that means)
