Some photos from the Windows PC Holiday Showcase hosted by Microsoft at Cult Studios in New York on Monday, December 6th.

The photos are rather terrible because I took them with a Blackberry in a room that was bathed in dim blue light. If anyone knows who the lady photographer was (with the SLR strapped on), do let me know as she took quite a few photos that might actually be good.

Anyway, I was particularly pleased because I got to check out the Dell Venue Pro and KINECT first-hand which is difficult as there is no Microsoft Store on the east coast. I also met Ben “The PC Guy” Rudolph, Ryan Asdourian & Brandon LeBlanc from Microsoft, Mary Jo Foley and Manan Kakkar from ZDNet for a few minutes, which was fun/illuminating.

An unknown guest who might have been a journalist (the chubby guy with glasses), was a bit perplexed with the Dell Inspiron Duo and asked me quite a few questions about it. There were many other folks present, but I didn’t get a chance to talk to anyone else.

It was rather fun to have the event staff constantly ply me with little appetizers and drinks, and I wouldn’t mind being invited to such shindigs in the future at all ;-)
